Russian Far East is a far-away place (counting from Moscow of course). The great TranSiberian Railway ends here in Vladivostok, the Russian gate-port for the Pacific and a very beautiful seaside city. Scantily populated and extremely rich both in flora and fauna (a lot of that endemic, as the Ussury tiger is) Far East a paradise for bird lovers. April-May and September-October is the time to come here to watch them.  |
