Bukhara is famous for its madrasahs and mosques, monuments and squares. Breathtaking Asian architecture combined with narrow medieval lanes in the old town, bustling Asian bazaar retaining the ancient Asian atmosphere. The major sight of the town is Arch, wooden fortress, was a home for emirs, the leaders of Persian Empire. The majority of town population speaks Tajik.
