Day 2. Tour to Yantarniy. Sightseeing tour. Folklore show.

Tour to the town of Yantarniy (Amber Village). A visit to the place, the only on earth, where amber is extracted in an open-cast mine. Also we will see the Anna Pit, local church, private manufactory, processing work-shop, amber souvenir shop and will try our hand at assembling an amber souvenir.
Sighteseeing tour including the visit to The amber museum which houses the biggest collection of amber with more than 6,000 pieces – in jewellery, boxes and some copies of parts of the legendary Amber room, part of Catherine the Great's summer residence near St. Petersburg.
Kenigsberg Cathedral was the main church of old Kenigsberg and is still a landmark of modern Kaliningrad. It was first mentioned in the historical documents in 1333. Probably, the building of the cathedral began a few years before this date. Immanuel Kant and many others professors from the Kenigsberg university were buried in Kenigsberg cathedral.
Fifth Fort was one of many surrounding the perimeter of Kongsberg. A Soviet bas relief memorializes storm troopers who on April 6, 1945 blocked the fort and two days later won a battle here. The fort, surrounded by water, descends many storeys into the ground and was once interconnected with the other forts surrounding the area. The broken rock near the entrance was what once covered the entrance to the fort. You can see the Russian Katyusha missile launchers, various tanks and other weapons of war on display here, too.

À narrow, 98 kilometer long, stripe of land between the Baltic Sea and waters of the bay — this is the Kurshskaya spit. There is an isolated microclimate here, similar neither to maritime nor to cost-continental climate. The Kurshskaya spit puts together genius of land and spirits of water of a freshwater bay and the salty Baltic Sea, that is why it possesses a completely special energy. Such a combination of elements had a wholesome influence on nature, as if it specially did its utmost to vary forms of life as much as possible. In close neighborhood, you may meet corners of subtropics and deserts, a piece of mid-European zone and forest-grassland. More than 600 species of plants; 296 species of vertebrates (elk, roe, wild boar, fox and so on) form flora and fauna of the spit. Sand dunes — a unique natural formation on the Kurshskaya spit — stretch along the seacoast and attract by their special magical majesty. They appeared under the influence of western winds dominating on the coast. Upon a time moving sands buried the whole settlements, that is why forests (mostly pines) remain on the spit as the only protection against destructive forces of nature.

Day 5. Excursion to Dudutki. Sightseeing tour.

Tour to Dudutki – a charming, tiny village situated on the picturesque banks of the river Ptich 40 km south of Minsk is an open-air museum where 19^th century Belarus comes back to life. Traditional crafts, such as carpentry, pottery, handicraft making and cookery are on display in old-style wood-and-hay houses. You can wander around the gardens, taking in the fresh air, spying on a working farm as it was a century ago. In the Handicrafts Shop you will not only be able to see how works are made using traditional technology, but also join the craftwork and participate in the creative process.
After lunch, a sightseeing tour including Trinity Suburb -- a small area on the eastern bank of the Svislach River has been rebuilt in 17^th and 18th-century style to recreate the look and feel of what much of Minsk once looked like. It is the city’s most photographed area, and there are a few cafes, bar, restaurants and craft-gift shops. The suburb of Troitskoye Predmestye should not be missed either; it gives an insight into the way Minsk once looked – 19th-century houses with colorful facades line the streets. There are also excellent examples of Baroque architecture, such as the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (1642), the Cathedral of St Peter and Paul (1613) and the Maryinsky Cathedral, which has been rebuilt to its original shape. Independence Square with its Government Building (1929-33) and Red (Krasny) Roman Catholic Church of the early 20^th century; Victory Square with its 38 metre obelisk and the Eternal Flame commemorating the heroes of World War II; parks and modern architectural ensembles and also new National Library – built in 2006.

Visit to Stalin Line — a historical memorial situated 30 km away from Minks near the town of Zaslavl. In 1930s on the Western border of the former USSR a network of defense military fortifications was built, stretching from the Baltic to the Black sea. The memorial is part of this line. All exhibits here, including an artillery caponier, a machine gun pillbox, military machines, personal and tank barriers, trenches are real evidences of the past. Tour to Zaslavl, 27 km away from Minsk. The historical sights here include a museum, a park with fortification constructions of 16-17^th centuries, an ethnographical complex, a steam-driven mill from 19^th century, a hut, a barn and a blacksmith’s shop. You can visit the exhibition of tapestries and folk music instruments.

Day 7. Arrival to Kiev. Sightseeing tour. Folk show.

Arrival from Minsk at 8.57, transfer from the railway station to hotel Rus (3 star+), breakfast. Sightseeing tour including St. Sophia Cathedral and Monastery Complex -- a real pearl of the world architecture is the Saint Sofia's Cathedral with which no European building of the XI century could be compared by its beauty and grandeur. Inside, you can view the largest frescoes and mosaics collection in the world. Golden Gate (entrance to Ancient Kiev), St. Volodymyr Cathedral (the triple-naval, seven cupola cathedral was built in 1882 in the neo Byzantine style), St. Mykhaylo Golden Domed (an old Kyivan sacred place, demolished in 1934-37 to prepare the construction site for the governmental centre, was later reconstructed), Andrew's Church (built in 1754 by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, of Baroque style. Andriyivsky Uzviz (Andrews Descent), the most ancient and steep street in Kiev, is a favorite place for outdoor fairs, festivals and concerts. Many people associate the street with Montmartre of Paris as many artists rent apartments and studios there. Art galleries, shops and studios make this street the best place to shop for Ukrainian crafts and art works. Dinner at the Ukrainian national restaurant "Hata Karasya" with folk show.

Sightseeing tour including Kiyvo-Pecherska Lavra. This functioning monastery (founded in 1051) consists of numerous churches, towers, and miles of underground tunnels (caves) with ancient crypts and ecclesiastical objects. Visiting caves and museums of Scythian gold work from the 4^th century BC.
Visit of the Ukrainian Museum of Folk Architecture under the open sky (representative folk architecture of the 16th-19^th centuries) with lunch included The open-air museum is set on 150 hectares of picturesque terrain on the southwestern outskirts of Kyiv. Today, the museum has over 200 structures moved here from various regions of the Ukraine or reconstructed on the spot. The museum has some 40,000 ethnographic exhibits, including folk costumes, fabrics, embroidery, carpets, ceramics, articles of metal, wood, glassware, musical instruments, paintings, tools, household articles and the like. These objects are exhibited both inside the cottages and other farm buildings and in the permanent exhibition halls.

The Memorial Complex of World War II in Victory park was built in commemoration of the 50^th anniversary of the Victory Day. The biggest museum of the Great Patriotic War is situated here.
You will also pass The White House of the Russian Federation, a landmark of post-reformed Russia, Moscow’s boulevards, a historical and cultural center of Moscow, the world famous Bolshoi Theater, Varvarka street – an ancient little street of the 16^th century,’ sparkling with the golden domes of churches. Almost each building is connected with the history of Russia: the Romanovs Chambers, the birthplace of Michail Romanov – the grandfather of Peter The Great, the Old English Court – the first foreign embassy from the 16^th century and many others.

The Kremlin is the heart of Russia, its historical, cultural and political center. The history of Moscow started here, when the first settlement surrounded by the fortified wall appeared on this very place in the 12^th century. The Armory Chamber is the oldest museum of Russia. It is the treasure house of the Russian state, which has been formed during many centuries. You can see here a unique and the richest collection of ancient state crown regalia, jewels, gems, icon covers, crosses, thrones, carriages, coronation robes and top clergy vestments, Faberge Royal Easter eggs.
Diamond Fund Collection Diamond Fund is a precious collection housed in the building of the Kremlin Armory. Most of the exhibition is made up of forearm-sized nuggets of gold. The centerpiece is Catherine the Great’ s French-made crown and scepter. The crown is made of almost 5000 diamonds. Her scepter contains the 190-carat Orlov Diamond.

For many Russian people the monastery is the the spiritual center of Russia, center of Russian Orthodoxy. Sergiev Posad is named after St. Sergius of Radonezh, a patron saint of all Russia who founded the Trinity Sergius Monastery, a dazzling monument to six centuries of Russian history. The impressive architectural ensemble, its historic relies and artistic treasures make Sergiev Posad a unique historic site. St. Trinity Cathedral where the shrine with St. Sergey's relics is stored, Assumption Cathedral that repeats by its forms the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
